A lovely vintage Russian cloisonné cellar for serving caviar, salt or other delicacies.

Gold coloured melchior metal with red and white enamel pattern, the cellar stands on three angular legs.

It has a thick glass liner which stands slightly proud of the rim of the bowl.
It is stamped on the bass "IOMMET" and "4p50k", and is likely from an area of Russia called Mstera, which is known for producing items such as this little pot.

This small pot is vintage c.1950s - 1970's though the angular design of the legs and the overlapping enamel pattern could suggest earlier Deco era.

It is in good condition and the enamel is intact. The metal has been polished and shows sign of verdigris on the inside and has some remaining tarnish after being polished. All are in keeping with an item of this age and made of such metal. The glass liner is in good condition.
