A Hornsea Pottery wall plaque of an Angelfish with yellow body and wavey orange and brown glazes. Designed in the 1960s by John Clappison.
John Clappison became the chief designer for Hornsea Pottery in 1958.

This wall plaque is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It has light crazing in keeping with a ceramic piece of this age.

The plaque does not have the Hornsea mark impressed on the reverse, only the model number 55 - it is certainly a Hornsea Pottery piece though.
The plaque could also be used as a trinket dish ornament, alternatively to hanging it on the wall.

This Angelfish fish design comes in three sizes - this is the larger of the the three fish models. There are also other colours - I have a large sized blue fish available, please see my other listings.
