A small double handled bowl/ serving tureen with cover made by the British ceramics factory Cauldon in the 1930s.

The blue and white transfer pattern is the Chariot pattern and one of Cauldon's well known and loved designs. It features a Roman chariot pulled by horses set in a classical landscape.

The piece is marked on the base of the bowl with the Cauldon Chariot transfer ware stamp.

The piece is in very good condition - It has a slight imperfection above one of the handles (see photo) which happened during production in the Cauldon factory.

There is a small chip to the underside of the lid (see photo).

Approximate size : Bowl 6.5cm H x 11.5cm Diameter. Lid / Cover 3.5cm H
